Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Administrator to support a UK-based employer in processing payroll accurately and on time. This role is ideal for a South African professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working with UK teams remotely.

• →Manage and support end-to-end payroll processing for UK-based employees on a weekly or monthly basis
• →Handle payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and compliance with HMRC regulations
• →Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones
• →Maintain accurate records of payroll data, employee changes, and tax submissions
• →Use relevant tools such as Sage Payroll, Xero, or similar payroll platforms
• →Support the wider HR and finance team with payroll queries, reporting, and year-end processes
• →Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and streamline processing workflows

• 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage payroll for multiple employees simultaneously
• Proficient in payroll software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
• Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Experience with UK payroll legislation or working with UK-based employers is advantageous
• Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment
