In This Role, You’ll

You’ll act as the vital strategic layer between company leadership and financial execution, managing the daily fiscal performance and organizational health of a fast-growing company. You’ll own the end-to-end fulfillment of financial initiatives, from building robust reporting systems and providing forward-looking analysis to overseeing People Operations, ensuring every strategic objective is translated into measurable stability and aligned organizational growth.

Managing the full operational lifecycle, you’ll coordinate diverse administrative tasks, synthesize complex financial data into actionable decision support, and bridge critical gaps to move the business forward. By proactively identifying optimization opportunities and maintaining a high standard of precision across all departments, you will ensure operational momentum and quality delivery while scaling your expertise toward a future as a CFO.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Leadership

• Own the company’s financial strategy and support CEO / COO in data-driven decision making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the organisation.
• Manage cash flow, profitability, and cost optimisation.
• Deliver clear financial visibility through accurate P&L, cashflow reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Proactively bring financial scenarios, risks, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Finance Operations

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, reporting, AR/AP, payments, and treasury.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of transactions, including marketplace fees and multi-channel sales.
• Build and maintain financial reporting systems integrating ERP and BI tools.
• Partner with commercial and supply chain teams to analyse product profitability, inventory turns, and capital efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with accounting and tax regulations, particularly Spanish accounting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation across finance processes.

People Operations Oversight

• Oversee core People Operations including payroll coordination, contracts, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration in partnership with external HR advisors.
• Maintain and evolve the Employee Handbook and internal policies.
• Support leadership in organisational design, headcount planning, and compensation decisions.
• Help run the performance review process and ensure alignment with company values.

Note: This scope will be gradually transitioned to the hire over the first six months.

Cross-Functional Business Partner

• Partner with Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain to support business decisions with financial insight.
• Translate financial data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
• Bring financial perspective into operational discussions rather than acting purely as a reporting function.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop the Finance team.
• Build scalable financial processes and systems
• Define and track departmental KPIs.
• Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6-10 years in finance roles (Finance Manager, Controller, FP&A Lead, or similar)
• Experience in fast-growing companies (e-commerce, retail, consumer, or tech preferred)
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and P&L management skills
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
• Experience with finance systems (QuickBooks, Holded, Power BI, or similar)
• Advanced English (C1 or above)

Nice to Have

• Spanish language, but not necessary
• Multi-entity or international finance experience
• Exposure to People Operations or HR processes
• Experience in marketplace or e-commerce environments
• Familiarity with AI tools and a proactive approach to identifying automation opportunities in day-to-day work
