POSITION OVERVIEW: 
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive property-level marketing strategies for Yonge Eglinton Centre and Yonge Sheppard Centre. This role drives traffic, sales, brand visibility, and community engagement through innovative marketing programs, events, partnerships, and digital content. The position works closely with Corporate Marketing, Leasing, Operations, Asset Management, and retail partners to ensure property marketing aligns with RioCan’s overall brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Execute all property-level marketing initiatives and programming in alignment with corporate strategies and brand positioning.
  • Develop and manage content for property-owned channels including websites, digital directories, and social media platforms.
  • Plan, manage, and execute on-site events from ideation through post-event reporting, including advertising, logistics, permits, partnerships, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure optimal representation of the properties through signage, hoarding, and on-site marketing assets.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with retailers at both local and national levels to support event success and maximize sales productivity.
  • Support leasing efforts by participating in the leasing process, assisting with retailer onboarding, and developing leasing and sales materials.
  • Collaborate with Leasing to position the properties effectively to prospective retailers.
  • Maximize non-traditional revenue through income-generating events, promotions, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Identify and secure community, corporate, and non-profit partnerships that enhance property programming and engagement.
  • Support ancillary revenue goals in partnership with Corporate Marketing, Asset Management, Operations, and Leasing teams.
  • Assist with the management of third-party digital advertising programs.
  • Prepare, manage, and administer the property marketing budgets.
  • Negotiate with vendors to maximize marketing spend and adjust budgets in response to changes in income or strategic priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants to understand their business objectives and identify on-site marketing opportunities that drive traffic to their stores.
  • Educate and connect tenants on cross-promotional opportunities and develop marketing initiatives to support these collaborations.
  • Work closely with community stakeholders to strengthen the centres’ connection to the surrounding neighbourhoods.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and participate in special projects as required.
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate, mixed-use developments, or retail-focused properties.
  • Demonstrated experience executing on-site events from concept through delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly creative, proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
