About the Role
RPMGlobal (RPM) is seeking a Technical Analyst to join our Mine Planning software development team. This is an opportunity to apply your technical skills in designing software and supporting product users as part of an established development team.
This is a full-time role based in our head office in Brisbane CBD. The position is in-office, however, it does allow for ad hoc working from home.
RPM is the market leader in enterprise solutions from mine planning to execution. This role will primarily work on RPM's advanced mine planning software, which is used by mining professionals worldwide to design, evaluate, and optimise mining strategies. These products combine geological data, engineering logic, and powerful algorithms to help clients make informed decisions across diverse mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of ideas, requests and suggestions of product changes.
- Communicate with both the development team and stakeholders in order to implement solutions.
- Provide product support to internal users and external customers.
- Test software products to provide feedback from a technical point of view.
- Analyse, collate and report on test outcomes and contribute to the resolution of any issues.
- Develop written communication of technical information and product overviews.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, information technology or mathematics.
- An interest in the mining industry.
- Exposure to developing software.
- Strong technical mindset with good solution and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player attitude with a collaborative approach.
- Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.
- Legally entitled to work in Australia.
Highly Regarded Experience
- Exposure to mine planning or geological modelling software such as Maptek Vulcan, Deswik, Datamine, or similar mining packages.
- Experience with CAD or spatial design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS platforms).
- Understanding of block models, mine design concepts, or geological data structures.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation within technical software environments.
- Experience working with complex technical products or enterprise software.
