As we enter a new phase of growth under new ownership, we're looking for a driven, versatile operator to help us scale smartly.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, dual-mandate role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations and growth. You'll first build the infrastructure that makes scaling possible — documented processes, smart automation, and a well-oiled team — and then actively drive that growth through marketing, sales, and strategic business development.
This role reports directly to the Owner and works in close partnership with two operations managers who oversee day-to-day client and team activities. You'll serve as a bridge between ownership-level strategy and the operational layer of the business — translating direction into execution, and surfacing operational insights back up to the owner. This is not a siloed role; you'll have real influence over the direction of the company while working collaboratively with an established, capable team.
What You'll Do
Operations & Infrastructure
- Audit existing workflows and build comprehensive SOPs across service delivery, client onboarding, and internal operations
- Use AI tools and platforms to build simple internal automations and workflows that reduce manual work and operating costs — no engineering background required, but you should be the kind of person who enjoys experimenting with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, or Make to solve practical problems
- Streamline hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes to support a growing team
- Design and maintain personnel management processes that support a high-performing, remote-capable team
Growth & Revenue
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, social media, and local/regional outreach
- Own and manage the company website — content, SEO, and ongoing updates
- Conduct sales calls and handle inbound leads from first contact through close
- Create and execute strategies to upsell existing clients on expanded services
- Identify and evaluate new service lines, partnerships, or market opportunities
Strategy
- Contribute to overall business strategy, including expansion planning and margin improvement
- Provide data-driven recommendations on resource allocation, pricing, and operational efficiency
- Serve as a key thought partner to ownership on major decisions
What We're Looking For
Required
- Demonstrated experience helping operate and scale a small business (ideally under 20 employees)
- Hands-on experience designing and running marketing campaigns with measurable results
- Comfort using AI tools to build simple automations and solve problems — you don't need to be a developer, but you should be resourceful, experimentally-minded, and genuinely enjoy finding tech solutions to operational challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you can write clearly, present confidently, and represent the company professionally
- Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) for client and team interactions
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to work collaboratively alongside established team members
Preferred
- Experience in financial services, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related industry — or a demonstrated ability to quickly ramp in a regulated professional services environment
- Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Monday.com, Google Workspace, or DocuSign
- Background in SOP development, process design, or operational consulting
