Key Responsibilities:
· Maintenance & Repair:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all hotel equipment, including guest room appliances, lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure.
· Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems, working quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions for guests and staff.
· Preventative Maintenance:
Schedule and execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity, reducing the risk of breakdowns.
· Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or other issues, to ensure guest safety and property protection.
· Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and repair logs.
· Quality Control:
Defects identified and rectified.
· Communication:
Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and other departments to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
· Safety:
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
· Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other engineering staff and departments to achieve optimal hotel operations.
· Sustainability:
Assist with implementing and maintaining sustainability initiatives, such as energy-saving measures.
· Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with Marriott's policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience in building maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of various systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) is often preferred.
· Experience in the hospitality industry is often preferred for hotel positions.
· May require relevant certification or trade license.
