Now Brewing – Senior Project Manager, Strategy & Operations! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
This role contributes to Starbucks success by serving as a Senior Project Manager for Strategy & Operations within the Global Marketing and Channel Development (CPG) organization. In addition to leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives, this role plays a critical part in shaping and operationalizing leadership communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and high‑quality execution across internal and external moments.
Operating at the intersection of program delivery and executive communications, this role supports senior leaders by driving disciplined project execution and translating priorities into compelling, well‑timed communication assets.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will…
Strategic Communications:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy tied to major initiatives, milestones, and leadership moments
* Prepare executive‑ready communications and materials, including:
* Drafting and coordinating org‑wide emails and leadership messages
* Developing and editing social media content (e.g., LinkedIn posts) in support of SVP‑level leaders
* Partnering closely with Public Affairs, Marketing, and Strategy teams to ensure messages are accurate, aligned, and delivered at the right moments
* Translate complex initiatives into clear narratives, tailoring content for different audiences while maintaining a consistent leadership voice
* Own stakeholder and change communications for key initiatives, helping teams understand the “why,” “what,” and “what’s next”
Project Management:
* Drive decision‑making and stakeholder alignment, navigating ambiguity with sound judgment
* Lead complex, cross‑functional projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across multiple workstreams
* Establish clear project goals, success metrics, and execution frameworks, ensuring alignment to organizational strategy and leadership priorities
Partner Engagement:
* Partner with Partner Resources, and other Business Operations & Planning teams to align cultural initiatives with enterprise-wide efforts.
* Facilitate & author key engagement moments such as offsites, town halls, and recognition programs that foster connection and belonging.
Leadership & Influence:
* Model strong collaboration and professionalism, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and results‑oriented team environment
* Build strong relationships across the enterprise to ensure alignment and amplification of communications and news across the team
We’d love to hear from people with:
* 5+ years of project management experience, including end‑to‑end ownership of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, and communications
* Experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in large, matrixed organizations
* Demonstrated ability to create clear, executive‑ready written communications, including leadership messaging and organizational updates
* Comfort working directly with VP‑ and SVP‑level leaders, including preparing talking points, presentation content, and decision support materials
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without direct authority
* Excellent judgment, adaptability, and the ability to move forward amid ambiguity
* Experience partnering with Communications, Marketing, Brand, or Corporate Affairs teams (preferred)
* Bachelor’s degree preferred; PMP certification a plus

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
