Buyer Analyst

• →Cultivate relationships with suppliers for the assigned contracts. Maintains supply chain redundancy where possible to achieve best cost and quality.
• →Work to continuously improve costs and drive down supply lead times. Establishes tiered supplier cost on an individual item basis.
• →Responsible for obtaining current pricing, lead time and performing data entry.  Manage workload for assigned commodities and/or specific contract items.
• →Review, monitor, and take action to replenish stocked items.  Performs inventory forecast analysis based on sales history and customer demand. 
• →Maintain quality assurance and contract compliance in accordance with government requirements and AS9120B standards. May include First Article Testing and other quality test procedures. Manages technical data.
• →Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management as well as external providers.
• →Work with the internal and external stakeholders to address non-conformances and bring to resolution.
• →Issue purchase orders for assigned commodities and or specific contract items.  Follows up on backorders, expedites delivery or reschedules delivery of orders.

• Associate degree, or 3 years of procurement experience. 
• Proven experience in procurement, or supply chain preferred. May include military personal who have been formerly trained or have a relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience. 
• Excellent negotiating skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software a plus.  Proficiency using JDEdwards EnterpriseOne Software highly preferred.
• Required to be a U.S. citizen or hold a permanent residency (green card holder).
