We are looking for a Landscape Safety Manager who views themselves as a "Swiss Army Knife" of support—someone who isn't the "safety police," but a trusted resource and coach for our field teams.  Pay: Competitive Pay Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Match, PTO (Vacation, Sick, 12 Holidays), HSA/FSA, Company Vehicle & Tech Package Location: Hybrid / Field-Based  Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Requires 50%–80% travel with some overnights) Requirements: 3+ years Landscaping/Heavy Equipment experience; Valid Driver’s License; OSHA & CPR Certifications (can obtain within 6 months) Perks: Company Vehicle, "Comp Day" flexibility for weather events, and high-trust autonomy About The Budd Group Culture The Budd Group is a family-owned, God-honoring company that provides facility solutions across the Southeast. What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities As our Landscape Safety Manager, you are vital in developing safety policies, conducting audits, and leading training across our landscaping book of business in the Carolinas and Virginia. Field Support: Act as the primary Risk Management Specialist for teams across NC, VA, and GA, fostering a helpful reputation. Audits & Compliance: Conduct deep-dive annual safety audits and "quick hitter" site visits to ensure 100% regulatory compliance. Safety Training: Lead in-person group training (CPR, Smith System Driver) during rainy days to maximize productivity. Incident Investigation: Root out causes of accidents to implement proactive, preventative solutions. What You Bring To The Team Expertise: 5+ years of relevant landscaping or heavy equipment experience (Field experience is prioritized over a degree!). Education: 4-year degree preferred. Communication: Strong public speaking skills; Proficiency in Spanish is a huge plus for our Spanish-speaking teams. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint and analytical systems like Tableau.
