Provide a very ‘Hands-on’ technical leadership and mentoring for engineers in the team. Lead the technical design, vision and implementation strategy for major services & components of DPWorld. Build and own critical parts of the services and deliver to production Ability to articulate the design and code choices to cross functional teams. Create an environment to foster professional and personal growth of each individual engineer in the team. Lead the team to provide production-ready system components and operation support; and systematically mature components, owning them end to end. Ensure timely response and resolutions to relevant site operations and support escalations Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria, and clearly communicate progress and outcomes Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior leadership Define, measure, and improve Key Performance Indicators for the team
OTHER Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound. Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies Perform other related duties as assigned

| QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS |
Bachelor in Technology, Engineering, or equivalent (BE/BTech/BS) 12 or more years of professional software development, implementation and operations experience. Of which 2-3 years of clear demonstration of progressive experience in management. Strong technical aptitude to lead an engineering team Ability to meet challenges under demanding conditions and keep calm under pressure. Organized and able to work with many people to deliver product features on tight schedule Proven ability to influence across matrix organizations at various levels. Strong experience in managing multiple projects/programs. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines Resourceful - able to deliver results with minimal direction. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders Solid understanding of developer tools and cloud technologies Experience working on frameworks or platforms consumed by a large developer audience Well versed in emerging industry technologies and trends, and the ability to communicate that knowledge to the team and use it to influence product direction. Roll-up sleeves attitude, remove obstacles that prevent teams from achieving their goals. |
