WHO WE ARE:
STAHL Companies provides the Program Management for its Channel of Commercial Technology companies in Government that consist of Small Businesses and New Technology start-ups.
STAHL advocates for policies that can improve government services and maintain our government's competitive advantage, by bringing more technology into government programs.
STAHL Companies advocates on behalf of our nation's innovative, new technology and small businesses looking to work with the U.S. government. We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem.
The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Secretary II to join our team!
The Secretary II provides intermediate-level administrative and clerical support to a department or management team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of office support tasks, including preparing correspondence, managing schedules, maintaining organized filing systems, and responding to inquiries. The Secretary II works with greater independence than entry-level administrative staff and helps ensure that office operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support departmental operations.
· Draft, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports, and other administrative documents.
· Coordinate and manage calendars by scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
· Organize, maintain, and update both paper and electronic filing systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
· Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to appropriate personnel.
· Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and internal communications.
· Assist in preparing meeting agendas, materials, and documentation.
· Maintain office records, databases, and administrative logs as required.
· Order and track office supplies and coordinate basic office logistics.
· Provide general administrative support to staff and management as needed.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or administrative training preferred.
· 2–4 years of experience in clerical or administrative support roles.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple administrative tasks.
· Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
