Chinese to English Game Localization Linguist

Translate game content from Chinese into English, including in-game text, UI strings, and marketing materials

Review and revise translated content to ensure accuracy, fluency, consistency, and natural style

Adapt narrative and dialogue to make them engaging and suitable for English-speaking players

Conduct linguistic QA to identify and correct grammar, terminology, punctuation, and formatting issues

Maintain the tone, voice, and intent of the original content while adapting it for cultural relevance

Provide linguistic input during creative discussions and narrative development

Collaborate with the localization and project management teams to meet deadlines and quality standards

Native-level English speaker with fluent Mandarin Chinese

2+ years of experience in game localization or translation

Strong understanding of Chinese culture and the ability to localize cultural references appropriately

Familiarity with localization tools and content management systems preferred

Excellent attention to detail and strong writing/editing skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Passion for gaming, especially mobile games

Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus
