A Brief Overview
The Health Plan Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring the appropriate collateral is received and determining the appropriate medical rate is assigned for a prospect. Analysts use specialized tools developed by third party industry experts and TriNet's carrier partners to evaluate submitted documents and census information to determine the correct medical pricing for prospects based on the actual risk they present.
What you will do
* Work independently to conduct prospect census review including medical plans and rates, to determine the appropriate medical price based on the presented risk of the prospect
* Evaluate required documents using various tools including a medical pricing tool
* Communication with Sales collegues
* Assist with reviewing and evaluating output of the tools and resources TriNet uses and making suggestions for improvements on these tools and Health Plan Pricing process
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Complies with all policies and standards
Education Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience Qualifications
* Typically 2+ years required
* Experience in insurance pricing preferred
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to interpret and analyze detailed medical plans and related documents
* Ability to solve problems using mathematical skills
* Possess independent thinking skills and complete projects with minimal guidance
* Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel
* Ability to communicate with Sales personnel regarding Health Plan Pricing guidelines and requirements

The preferred locations for this role are Dublin, CA and Irvine, CA, and the salary range listed reflects these locations. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role based in Dublin or Irvine. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on skills, education, work location, and experience.
The salary range for these locations are $69,300.00 to $117,900.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Dublin. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Dublin and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
