The Procurement Sr. Manager (Plastics) is a critical function that contributes significantly to the cost competitiveness of Rheem, the availability of components and our quality, and ensures categories are driven by a long term strategy that includes its definition, a robust supply market research, industry benchmarks, selection and partnership with vendors, strong negotiations and contract management discipline, outstanding project execution of the strategy, and clear accountability to deliver KPIs and track its results.
This position will serve Rheem Enterprise Division located in Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite).
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop and lead efficient and effective category strategy as the top subject matter expert for technology procurement
- →Maximize cost improvement projects on par with industry benchmarks; delivers all projects on time
- →Ensures contract and purchasing agreements compliance, works actively to renew; zero expired contracts
- →Collaborate closely with the leaders across the matrix globally (Product, R&D, Engineering, Sales, BU leadership)
- →Focus and expertise on Risk management, internal customer satisfaction, and on total cost of ownership is critical
- →Supports and collaborates with new product introductions across business units, specifically IT
- →Works closely and supports technology on strategic projects for our company
- →Introduces new technologies, modern capabilities, innovation, in the assigned portfolio of business
- →Coordinates transactional contract and renewal execution
- →Coordinates with IT Administration the launch and approval of purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- →Assists with vendor Security and AI Assessments and approvals
- →Works closely with IT Finance to align to budgets, consumption and spend forecasts
- →Coordinates with IT Administration to ensure GAR approval process is followed
- →All efforts, plans, projects, actions and activities: must translate into results that are measured, progressively improving, and are sustainable.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field of study or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a procurement business leader with technology experience
- Experience with defining and implementing effective Sourcing and Procurement Policies, Processes, and Tools and associated KPIs
- Demonstrated familiarity with all technology platforms, hardware, software and industry expertise
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- High degree of proficiency in Oracle, Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required
- Proven record of managing multiple projects on time and within budget
- Excellent negotiation skills, including experience with large corporate technology contracts
- Excellent presentation skills, including ability to engage with leadership at all levels of the organization
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward
- Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately
- A pragmatic execution approach.
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to travel within the Unites States and internationally to meet with Rheem’s Global Procurement teams, factory teams, and suppliers in support of product strategies and activities (travel as needed)
