- Four (4) years of clinical experience with two (2) years in specialty area and two (2) years in a leadership role.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas.
- Current BLS by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Project management or knowledge of Quality Improvement/Process Improvement processes.
- Experience in an academic medical setting.
- Medium Work | Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and/or visual inspection at distances close to the eyes.
- The employee is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Constant physical activities: Hearing; Manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding
- Frequent physical activities: Feeling; Grasping; Lifting; Pulling; Pushing; Sharps; Sitting; Talking; Walking

The CIS functions independently to provide theory and evidence-based knowledge that shapes the practice and core competencies of the nursing staff. The CIS provides area leadership in collaboration with the administrative leaders focusing on orientation, professional development, skills/competency validation, evidence-based practice, shared governance, regulatory compliance, nurse-sensitive quality indicators, and performance improvement. The CIS collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and functions in the healthcare system as a leader, consultant, and change agent and, therefore, must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The Clinical Integration Specialist is responsible for working independently and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to identify clinical problems, prioritize needs, develop, and implement interventions, and evaluate the process.

Responsibilities

- Understands and assures the use of adult learning principles and culturally appropriate initiatives and imparts this knowledge to faculty/staff as appropriate.
- Identifies barriers or concerns that interfere with the learning process and suggests alternatives for resolution; consults with departments, staff, and managers to determine goals.
- Establishes and leads process improvement initiatives.
- Takes a proactive approach toward patients and families.
