- Tier 0: UNDP/UNCDF/UNV IP staff holding permanent (PA) and fixed-term (FTA) appointments, whose posts will be abolished, or contracts will be terminated or not renewed during 2026.
- Tier 1: Other UNDP/UNCDF/UNV staff holding permanent (PA) and fixed-term (FTA) appointments
- Tier 2: UNDP/UNCDF/UNV staff holding temporary appointments (TA), personnel on regular PSA contracts, and Expert and Specialist UN Volunteers
- Tier 3 or no tier indicated: All other contract types from UNDP/UNCDF/UNV and other agencies, and other external candidates

Within the Jordan Country Office, the Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU) will be responsible for CO performance management and delivery acceleration. Specifically, it will perform the following functions:

The Programme Support Assistant supports the Programme Specialist in managing projects, ensuring compliance with UNDP guidelines, and providing logistical and administrative support for the efficient implementation of the PMSU’s objectives.
The Programme Support Assistant provides administrative, logistical and documentation support to the Programme Support Unit to facilitate the effective implementation of programme activities in compliance with UNDP rules and procedures.
UNDP adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, UNDP personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams in order to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Programme Support Unit
- Support the planning, coordination and implementation of PMSU activities.
- Arrange meetings, workshops, missions and events, including logistics, invitations, agendas and documentation.
- Prepare meeting minutes, records of decisions and follow-up action points.
- Support programme delivery monitoring and implementation follow-up
- Assist in tracking project delivery, workplan progress and implementation timelines.
- Compile updates from programme teams and support preparation of delivery monitoring tools.
- Follow up on pending actions, deadlines and required inputs from projects and units.
- Provide documentation and reporting support
- Maintain organized filing systems for programme documents, reports, correspondence and records.
- Support preparation, formatting and consolidation of briefs, presentations, reports and inputs for corporate reporting.
- Assist in collecting data and supporting evidence for results reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Support compliance with UNDP rules, procedures and quality standards
- Assist in reviewing documentation for completeness and alignment with UNDP policies and procedures.
- Support the preparation and processing of administrative, procurement, finance and HR-related documentation as required.
- Help maintain audit-ready records and support follow-up on compliance-related actions.
- Provide support to resource, pipeline and risk management processes
- Assist in maintaining pipeline, resource and project tracking records.
- Support the collection and organization of information related to project risks, issues and implementation bottlenecks.
- Contribute to routine updates of dashboards, trackers and management tools.
- Facilitate communication and coordination
- Liaise with programme teams, operations units and relevant stakeholders to obtain information and support timely follow-up.
- Support internal coordination across units, functions and projects.
- Draft routine correspondence, emails and administrative communications.
- Support knowledge management and information sharing
- Maintain and update shared folders, trackers, databases and knowledge products.
- Support documentation of lessons learned, good practices and key programme updates.
- Assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions and internal learning activities.
- Perform other duties as required
- Provide flexible support across units, teams and projects in line with UNDP’s portfolio approach.
- Carry out any other administrative, logistical or programme support tasks assigned by the supervisor.
