About the Role
~1 min readThe Industry Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of the Future Drought Fund Farm Business Resilience Program across Tasmania, an initiative led by the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture to strengthen the long-term sustainability and adaptability of the state’s agricultural sector. Reporting to the Program Manager, the position focuses on leading stakeholder engagement and partnership activities to promote the program and maximise participation. Working closely with farmers, industry organisations, and government agencies, the role builds strong relationships, supports program delivery, and helps ensure participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage economic, environmental, and climate-related challenges. The position also provides operational support and strategic input to the program team, contributing to improved resilience outcomes for farm businesses and rural communities across Tasmania.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies to support the Farm Business Resilience Program across Tasmania
- →Design and implement engagement initiatives that increase program visibility, participation, and industry connection
- →Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, industry, government, and community stakeholders
- →Develop and deliver high-quality communications to promote program activities and outcomes across multiple channels
- →Monitor and evaluate engagement activities to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate impact
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as stakeholder engagement, communications, public relations or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing multi-channel engagement strategies, including identifying target audiences and measuring outcomes.
- Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience planning and delivering promotional activities and representing an organisation at public-facing events.
- Understanding of or experience working within agriculture, natural resource management, or primary industries, and the ability to communicate impactfully from boardroom to farm gate.
- Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines within a changing environment.
Requirements
~1 min read- A Class ‘C’ Driver Licence valid in Australia.
- A Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) or the willingness to obtain.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
