Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is excited to announce we are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology department. This candidate will participate in both injectable chemotherapy as well as radiation therapy.

About GSVS: We are a multispecialty practice with boarded veterinary specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology. We have also been treating felines with hyperthyroid disease with radioactive iodine since 2001! We are also proud to have technicians here at GSVS with their VTS in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
- CVT/LVT/RVT preferred, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician.
- Will consider those with 2 years veterinary assistant experience and eager to grow in oncology
- Advanced knowledge along with preparation and administration of various chemotherapeutic agents
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must
- Positive outlook and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
- Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
- Sunday-Thursday
- OR:
- Tuesday-Saturday, with the goal to move to a 4-day work week in the future
- Competitive wages based on experience
- Shift differentials for swing and overnights positions
