The Opportunity

As an After Hours Security Officer, you’ll patrol our iconic property, protect our guests, team members and attractions, and play an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping the magic safe while the park sleeps.

As business needs require, this role also includes higher duties as a Relief Senior Security Officer, giving you the chance to step up and support the coordination and leadership of the night shift team on a relief basis. Key Responsibilities
Every shift brings a new adventure behind the scenes! You’ll be:
• Stay Alert - Patrol our properties to ensure the safety of guests, team members, and assets
• Keep things moving - Manage access control for visitors and contractors, including gatehouse operations, issuing of keys to correct persons and vehicle checks
• Take charge - Responding to incidents and provide assistance to Park Supervisors and Managers as required
• Keep everyone safe and happy - Ensure safety of team members and guests and provide conflict resolution
• Be calm under pressure - Handle emergency procedures and act as the communication point for the Emergency Response Team

This role will also include the below Senior Security Officer Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialist knowledge on training related issues and topics for the security department.
• Follow all safely procedures, policies and signage to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Contribute significantly to the implementation of training evaluation processes.
• Require close collaboration and integration of activity with the Security Supervisor.
• Maintain patrol of grounds for the safety of the animals and property.
• Maintain gate house operations, such as visitor/contractor access control, registering of vehicles, issues of keys to appropriate persons, bag/boot checks, and ensure that written reports are completed each shift.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s professional, calm under pressure, and passionate about safety. You’ll bring:
• A current Unarmed Security License (including Provide First Aid and Crowd Control modules)
• Blue Card is essential* (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $104.70, however, VRTP will reimburse employees who successfully complete three months of service).
• RSA certificate (essential)
• A current unrestricted Driver’s License
• A Security Monitoring qualification will be highly regarded
• Intermediate computer skills required
• Availability to work any day including nights, weekends and school holidays
• A willingness to obtain Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (we’ll assist with booking and will cover the cost!)
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Cash in Transit certificate
