Responsibilities

→Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, reimbursement representatives, and insurance payers to complete prior authorizations and secure patient assistance
→Serve as a liaison between medical partners and pharmacy for implementation of Rx benefits
→Support patients with access and affordability to ensure timely medication delivery
→Complete prior authorizations, benefit verifications, and EMR documentation
→Provide high-quality customer service to patients and staff
→Develop and maintain relationships with clinic staff, physicians, and pharmacy contacts
→Understand prescription drug benefits and adjudication processes
→Provide consultation and support to improve patient services and prescription capture rates
→Research financial assistance options including copay cards, foundations, and assistance programs
→Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer experience
→Assist pharmacists and pharmacy staff with administrative duties as needed (claims processing, inventory tracking, audits, filing)
→Provide backup support for pharmacy operations when needed
→Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2–4 years of related experience through an equivalent combination of education and experience OR 4–5 years of related experience
PTCB certification or equivalent
Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy Registration

Similar vocational experience through completion of a 2 to 4-year degree
