The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for operating ultrasound and non-invasive vascular equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. This role ensures the delivery of safe, accurate, and high-quality imaging, and requires excellent technical proficiency, professionalism, and a patient-focused approach. 

• →Perform ultrasound examinations as outlined in the Radiology/Ultrasound Procedure Guide
• →Monitor and assess patient condition, document findings accurately and promptly
• →Provide education and guidance to team members and promote collaborative practice
• →Ensure optimal image quality by conducting equipment checks and adjustments
• →Participate in ongoing quality improvement and maintain accreditation standards (ICAVL, AIUM)
• →Operate RIS/PACS systems competently within job scope
• →Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure readiness of the imaging environment
• →Participate in department meetings and support team communication
• →Stay current with continuing education requirements to enhance skills and maintain certification

• Completion of an educational pathway approved by ARDMS
• Preferred: Graduate of a CAAHEP or CMA-approved ultrasound/vascular technology program

• Certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular Technology
• Must obtain ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire if not already held
• BLS certification required
• Preferred: Certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

• Proficient in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Skilled in managing workflow, tasks, and imaging systems
• Competency in critical thinking, patient care, and documentation
