Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our client’s growing Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic physician to provide expert emergency care in a modern, well-equipped environment that supports excellence in clinical practice, innovation, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert emergency care to patients presenting with a full spectrum of acute medical, surgical, trauma, and psychiatric conditions.

  • Provide timely assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of critically ill or injured patients of all age groups.

  • Perform and supervise emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, procedural sedation, fracture reduction, and advanced resuscitation techniques.

  • Lead major trauma and resuscitation efforts and function as a team leader in high-acuity scenarios.

  • Supervise and support junior doctors, emergency medicine residents, and other clinical staff during shifts.

  • Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the Emergency Department.

  • Liaise and coordinate with inpatient teams, subspecialists, intensive care, and surgical services to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in the teaching and training of residents, interns, and medical students.

  • Conduct case-based discussions, simulation sessions, and contribute to departmental continuing medical education (CME).

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.

  • Participate actively in clinical governance activities including mortality and morbidity reviews, root cause analysis, and quality improvement projects.

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and care pathways in line with evidence-based practices.

  • Uphold standards in clinical documentation, patient safety, and risk management.

  • Engage in research activities within emergency medicine and support institutional research priorities.

  • Present at academic forums, conferences, and contribute to publications where applicable.

  • Participate in departmental planning, development of policies, and operational improvements.

  • Serve on hospital committees as delegated by departmental leadership.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

Minimum of 3–4 years of independent clinical experience post-board certification or fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the consultant or attending physician level.

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
