 Role Summary and Impact  

The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned business units within WPP Media. This role supports month-end close, statutory and management reporting, balance sheet governance, and compliance with internal controls. 

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications. 

• Perform detailed BS and P&L reconciliations and resolve variances. 

• Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecast cycles 

• Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecast; provide actionable commentary 

• Support revenue recognition in accordance with contractual terms 

• Review client billing, revenue accruals, and cost allocations 

• Partner with commercial teams to ensure financial accuracy on client accounts 

• Maintain adherence to internal control frameworks (including SOX where applicable) 

• Support internal and external audit requests 

• Ensure documentation of accounting policies and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline 

• IFRS, FMVA and ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred (or in progress) 

• 2–3 years of progressive accounting, (Budgeting & Reporting), financing experience in media, advertising, agency, or professional services environments preferred 

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling) 

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
