At the Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN), we are committed to fostering community growth and advancement while honouring our traditions, culture, and stewardship responsibilities. Our Environment Department leads environmental monitoring, land stewardship, research, and community engagement initiatives that protect and uphold the wellbeing of YKDFN lands and people. We are currently seeking an organized, dependable, and community-minded individual to join our team as:
Reporting to the Director of Environment the Regulatory Specialist is responsible for preventing the erosion of the YKDFN’s rights, title, way of life, wellbeing, and governance. The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for managing, reviewing, and coordinating the response to all regulatory matters related to mineral activities and other developments in the YKDFN’s Traditional Territory and surroundings. This is a full-time position based in the YKDFN community of Ndilo, Monday to Friday.
