About the Role
~1 min readAs an Area Sales Manager – Personal Safety Division, you will drive revenue growth for 3M’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) portfolio across Chennai and select regions of Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on expanding industrial market penetration, strengthening distributor networks, and building strong relationships with key industrial customers.
The role will promote and sell 3M Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including:
Respiratory protection
Hearing protection
Eye and face protection
Welding safety solutions
Work-at-height safety equipment
Confined space safety solutions
Responsibilities
~1 min readAchieve and exceed territory sales revenue targets across industrial customers.
Drive market penetration and share gain in assigned accounts and industries.
Develop and execute territory business plans and account strategies.
Manage end-user sales activities, including:
Customer visits
Product demonstrations
Safety training sessions
Industrial surveys
Maintenance and safety awareness programs
Execute territory-specific marketing initiatives.
Conduct industrial exhibitions, awareness campaigns, and safety workshops.
Drive multi-contact programs and key account initiatives.
Lead and motivate distributor sales representatives to achieve targets.
Collaborate with distributors to execute monthly sales plans.
Strengthen channel partner engagement and drive performance.
Provide insights on:
Competitive activities
Emerging industry trends
Customer needs and buying behavior
Deliver business presentations on 3M safety solutions to customers and management.
