Job Summary The Academic Affairs Centre helps students with all academic concerns that may arise in their experience here at Queen's. A non-judgmental, peer-to-peer, educated approach is taken with each case, and awareness of the diversity of students at Queen's as well as the impact academic grievances can have on the rest of the students' lives inform what the AAC does. Whether it's a dispute with a mark, TA or professor, or something completely different, the AAC wants to be available for each student here. It is therefore vital for the AAC to get its message out to students in an accessible, informed way. Job Competencies Organization  Communication Ownership  Attention to Detail  Cultural Sensitivity Job Duties Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the department and adhere to the general operations of the department   Ensure all marketing materials abide by the Media Centre Visual Identity Standards Seek feedback for the Academic Affairs Centre and implement recommendations Plan and participate in marketing campaigns for the Academic Affairs Centre  Work with the Centre Manager to maintain the Academic Affairs Centre 'brand' Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethical standards Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor  Attend and fully participate in all in person and virtual meetings  Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively  Strive to foster a warm, comfortable and respectful atmosphere  Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement  Complete other job duties as assigned Job Requirements Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills  Work Conditions Interaction and collaboration with coworkers, management and the Queen’s community
