## About the Role
As Manager of Marketing Insights on ATB's Culture, Communications and Marketing (CCM) Team, you are an active listener who is naturally curious, with a proven track record of building trusted relationships. You are also a critical thinker and a creative problem solver who is able to translate research and data into actionable insight - storytelling comes naturally to you! You'll be focused on infusing market and client data into CCM's brand and performance approach. Your collaboration with others across CCM and will play a key role in shaping our performance measurement systems. Under leadership of the Associate Director of Marketing Insights, this role is influential and works closely with our marketers and leaders across ATB to support marketing tactics that align with ATB's business goals. You will also be supporting as consultant and partner for our agile Marketing squads, specializing in specialization in our ‘everyday banking’ audiences. Your goal is to ensure that insights are not just presented, but are activated throughout the entire campaign lifecycle, from discovery to evaluation.
## Accountabilities
* Act as the go-to insights partner to our ‘’everyday banking’ marketing team, providing insight throughout the end-to-end campaign development process (i.e. market exploration/exploration/discovery through to evaluation); provide evidence-based guidance for campaign briefs and identifying knowledge gaps early in the discovery phase.
* Support our marketers in bringing audience segmentation profiles to life: Translate audience insights strategy into practical, day-to-day planning tools for marketers, including audience profiles, needs/motivations summaries, and messaging hypotheses.
* Lead audience-specific creative testing and other primary research initiatives, as needed.
* Leverage marketing analytics (GA4, Looker Studio) to interpret customer journeys and web behavior, translating digital performance into actionable marketing narratives.
* Synthesize multiple data sources like primary research, secondary research, GA4, and campaign performance to create cohesive "learning loops" that inform future marketing tactics.
* Maintain a reusable audience insight repository to ensure that organizational knowledge is durable and accessible for all marketing squads.
* Lead the A/B testing roadmap for paid media creative, managing the process from hypothesis design to performance synthesis and optimization.
## Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* 3-5 years of experience in marketing insights, campaign analytics. Exceptional ability to synthesize learnings from multiple data sources (e.g., research reports + GA4 data) into cohesive narratives.
* Comfort interpreting data from platforms like GA4, Looker Studio, and Hubspot.
* A proven track record of building trusted relationships in an agile, fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience working with both primary research and with secondary analytical data, as well as strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and how to use research to guide program creation and insight generation.
* Comfort with syndicated research.
* Ability to synthesize learnings from multiple data sources and formulate storylines; and confidently share your perspectives.
* Knowledge of market segmentation and personas and using them to guide marketing strategies.
* Strong understanding of the full range of marketing channels, how they work, how they can be integrated and how to evaluate them.
* Exceptional client sensitivity, empathy and intuition.
* Excellent communication skills - ability to tell a story from data (influential communicator & presenter).
* Ability to ask tough questions to generate discussion and solve problems.
* Demonstrated skills in guiding/coaching partners and fellow marketers with patience.
Knowledge of the following are also considered an asset for the role:
* Knowledge and application of generative AI for marketing insights.
* Advanced analytical techniques that drive marketing KPI generation.
* Agile methodology and practices.
* Experience working in Financial Services.
## Additional Information
This is a 12 month term opportunity. You can work from anywhere in Alberta, but you will be required to attend in-person meetings at either ATB Campus in Calgary or ATB Place in Edmonton as needed.
