Attentive is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Sales Engineering to lead and scale a high-performing team supporting our largest and most strategic opportunities. This leader will be responsible for developing top technical talent, establishing best practices, and partnering closely with Sales leadership to drive revenue growth across the enterprise segment.
The Strategic Sales Engineering organization supports more than $50M in annual new business revenue and plays a critical role in helping Attentive win and expand relationships with the world's most sophisticated brands. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for building the technical strategy, talent, and operating model required to consistently achieve ambitious growth targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
We are looking for a leader who embraces an AI-first mindset and is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to improve productivity, scale expertise, accelerate deal cycles, and create competitive advantage. This leader will play a key role in defining how AI transforms both the Sales Engineering function and the customer buying journey.
As a key leader within the Revenue organization, you will help define how Sales Engineering operates at scale while remaining actively engaged in Attentive's most complex, strategic, and high-impact opportunities.
Responsibilities

- Establish clear performance expectations, coaching frameworks, and career development plans
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Serve as an escalation point and mentor for complex customer and technical challenges
- Build an inclusive, high-performance team that consistently delivers business impact
- Partner with Sales leadership to develop account strategies for Attentive's largest enterprise opportunities
- Lead an organization responsible for supporting more than $50M in annual new business revenue
- Provide executive-level support on high-value, complex, and strategic deals
- Ensure technical evaluations are aligned with customer objectives and business outcomes
- Guide teams through solution design, architecture discussions, security reviews, and procurement processes
- Improve win rates and sales efficiency through strong technical leadership and deal coaching
- Establish repeatable best practices that increase team effectiveness across the enterprise sales cycle
- Champion an AI-first culture across the Strategic Sales Engineering organization
- Identify and implement AI-driven workflows that improve team productivity, technical discovery, solution design, and customer engagement
- Leverage AI technologies to scale technical expertise, improve knowledge sharing, and accelerate onboarding
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Enablement, Product, and Engineering teams to evaluate and deploy emerging AI capabilities
- Establish best practices for incorporating AI into demos, customer evaluations, technical content creation, and internal processes
- Continuously assess new technologies and methodologies that can increase organizational effectiveness and competitive advantage
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to communicate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence
- Help shape product roadmap priorities based on customer and prospect insights
- Collaborate with Marketing, Enablement, and Revenue Operations teams to improve messaging, content, and sales processes
- Act as a strategic advisor across the organization on customer requirements, industry trends, and technical market dynamics
- Serve as a key stakeholder in strategic initiatives that impact Attentive's enterprise growth strategy
- Establish and refine Sales Engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Drive operational excellence through forecasting, resource planning, performance metrics, and reporting
- Improve demo environments, evaluation frameworks, technical documentation, and enablement programs
- Develop scalable systems that enable the team to grow efficiently alongside the business
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to increase organizational impact
- 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Solutions Architecture, or a related customer-facing technical role within SaaS
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing Sales Engineering teams
- Proven success supporting enterprise and strategic accounts through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Demonstrated experience operating within organizations responsible for significant enterprise revenue targets, preferably supporting $50M+ in annual new business
- Strong technical aptitude with experience discussing integrations, APIs, data flows, security, and enterprise architecture
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across teams
- Experience partnering with senior Sales leadership on territory planning, account strategy, forecasting, and revenue execution
- Strong operational mindset with experience leveraging metrics and data to drive decision-making
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing technical talent
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Deep expertise with Salesforce, Looker, and Gong
- Experience using data and analytics to drive business decisions and sales outcomes
- Strong understanding of modern enterprise SaaS sales motions and supporting technologies
Requirements

- Experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Lovable, and similar emerging technologies in professional workflows
- Experience with enterprise marketing technology, customer engagement platforms, CDPs, ESPs, commerce technology, or adjacent SaaS solutions
- Familiarity with modern AI and automation platforms and their application within go-to-market organizations
- Experience leading Strategic or Enterprise Sales Engineering organizations
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives for enterprise customers
Nice to Have

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 - $235,000 annually + commission + equity + benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
