Job Title: Accounts Executive

Reports to: Accounts Manager & Finance Manager

Type of position: Full-time

Hours: 37.5 / week

ROLE OF THE ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT:

To control, manage and supply the financial Integrity of BAG whilst providing invisible support to the internal and external stakeholders of TGS.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems
• Manage and oversee accounts receivable & payable
• Monitoring and maintaining the sales ledger
• Building strong relationships with customers
• Acting as the main finance contact for customer accounts
• Reconciling customer accounts and statements
• Posting and allocating customer receipts, reconciling incoming payments against invoices and investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Producing aged debtor reports
• Reviewing payments linked to sanctioned or high-risk countries & liaising with banks to ensure compliance with sanctions regulations and requirements
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and support financial reports and analysis
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
• Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements
  

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Fully conversant with Microsoft Packages
• Accounting knowledge/experience required

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Preferred AAT (association of Accounting Technicians) Level 3
• Minimum requirement of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Mathematics and English Language
• Fluent in English/Spanish language both written and spoken an advantage

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate with solid accounting experience and a strong understanding of financial processes, preferably with AAT qualification (or studying towards it).
