Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. Just one year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth United States Open Championship. Today the Club is over 3,300 members strong with two campuses. It is widely recognized as one of the top 50 country clubs in the nation and top 100 in the world. We are all about the simple truth and doing what is right, not what is easy.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BANQUET MANAGER

The Baltimore Country Club is seeking a Banquet Manager who will be responsible for managing the execution of weddings, corporate, and other private and club hosted events in a high-volume, fast paced environment. The Banquet Manager will assure all banquet facilities are setup and service is delivered in a manner that exemplifies gracious hospitality, our commitment to excellence and provides the best experiences for our members and their guests. The Manager will interact with members and their guests to ensure their needs are being met, receive and resolve questions and issues concerning food, beverages and service and act as a liaison between the event host, banquet staff, and kitchen. Other responsibilities will include supervising, training and scheduling staff, managing and controlling expenses, securing the banquet areas at the end of each event and managing and maintaining banquet inventory. The ability to manage simultaneous events in multiple locations is crucial to being successful in this position.

Candidate must have proven experience in successfully managing high end banquet service, scheduling and motivating staff to perform at an exceptional level, have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members, guests, Club management and staff, knowledge of Banquet Events Orders (BEO's), F&B software and Microsoft Office, and be able to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is strongly preferred. Private Club experience is a plus.
