Behaviour is looking for a talented Senior Mission Designer to help shape the gameplay experience of a brand-new AAA IP.
In this role, you’ll leverage both your creative vision and technical expertise to craft missions that drive the moment-to-moment excitement of the game. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team and a renowned external partner, you’ll play a key role in defining the flow, pacing, and emotional impact of the player journey on this ambitious Unreal Engine 5 project.If you’re passionate about designing memorable missions and want to be part of an amazing team building a cutting-edge AAA experience, this is the opportunity for you! 
  • Design, prototype, and own missions from concept to final implementation, ensuring they deliver engaging objectives, combat encounters, and scenarios aligned with the game’s narrative and core gameplay pillars.
  • Shape mission flow, pacing, and difficulty curves to ensure engaging and rewarding experiences.
  • Combine combat, exploration, and storytelling into cohesive, interactive experiences.
  • Partner with systems designers to ensure missions complement progression, rewards, and core mechanics.
  • Clearly communicate your design intent to the creative director, artists, engineers, and QA across the full production pipeline.
  • 4–5 years of proven experience designing missions, quests, or levels on shipped AAA or mid-size titles.
  • Strong understanding of mission design principles, including flow, pacing, player motivation, and engagement loops.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Ability to balance narrative-driven storytelling with gameplay-driven challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset, in English and/or French.
  • Experience with multiplayer and open-world projects.
  • Familiarity with visual scripting and sequencing tools, such as Blueprint or Flowgraph, for mission logic.
  • Concevoir, prototyper et prendre en charge des missions, depuis le concept initial jusqu’à la mise en œuvre finale, en veillant à ce qu’elles proposent des objectifs captivants, des combats dynamiques et des scénarios cohérents avec la narration du jeu et ses piliers de gameplay;
  • Structurer le déroulement des missions, leur rythme et leur courbe de difficulté pour garantir une expérience engageante et gratifiante;
  • Combiner combat, exploration et narration pour créer des expériences interactives et cohérentes;
  • Collaborer avec les concepteur·trice·s systèmes afin que les missions s’intègrent harmonieusement à la progression, aux récompenses et aux mécaniques principales du jeu;
  • Communiquer clairement son intention de conception au·à la directeur·trice créatif·ive, aux artistes, aux ingénieur·e·s et à l’équipe QA tout au long du processus de production.
  • 4 à 5 ans d’expérience avérée en conception de missions, quêtes ou niveaux sur des titres AAA ou de taille intermédiaire déjà commercialisés;
  • Solide compréhension des principes de conception de missions, incluant le rythme, la fluidité, la motivation du·de la joueur·euse et les boucles d’engagement;
  • Maîtrise d’Unreal Engine 5;
  • Capacité à équilibrer narration scénarisée et défis liés au gameplay;
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et esprit de collaboration, en anglais et/ou en français;
  • Expérience sur des projets multijoueur et en monde ouvert;
  • Familiarité avec les outils de script visuel et de séquençage, tels que Blueprint ou Flowgraph, pour la logique des missions.
