Brady is seeking an energetic, motivated, and results-driven Business Development Specialist Team Lead to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. In this role, you will lead and support a team of Business Development Specialists while driving business growth through prospecting, lead qualification, and appointment generation.

The Team Lead is responsible for coaching team members, monitoring KPIs, supporting training initiatives, and providing performance reporting and insights. This role is ideal for a driven leader who is passionate about developing talent, driving accountability, and fostering a high-performing team culture while maintaining a reduced portfolio of business development responsibilities.

Monday through Friday

  • Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to prospective customers.
  • Manage a reduced portfolio of target accounts while balancing team leadership responsibilities.
  • Engage decision-makers and key stakeholders across various industries.
  • Build rapport quickly and professionally represent the Brady brand.
  • Lead by example in customer engagement and prospecting activities.

 

Requirements

  • Identify customer needs, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Qualify prospects based on established criteria, including business fit, opportunity potential, and readiness to engage.
  • Gather key account information and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Support team members in identifying and qualifying high-value opportunities.

 

  • Schedule qualified meetings for Brady Account Managers and Sales Representatives.
  • Coordinate calendars and ensure all meeting details are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Confirm appointments and conduct follow-up outreach as needed.
  • Support the team in maximizing appointment conversion rates and meeting quality standards.

 

  • Accurately document all customer interactions, call outcomes, notes, and next steps within CRM systems.
  • Maintain organized prospect records and follow-up schedules.
  • Track individual and team activity levels and performance metrics.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and adherence to established processes.

 

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to Business Development Specialists.
  • Conduct call reviews and coaching sessions to improve prospecting effectiveness and customer engagement.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Share best practices, messaging strategies, and successful prospecting techniques.
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for the team.

 

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly team performance metrics.
  • Track key performance indicators, including call activity, email outreach, conversations, appointments scheduled, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.
  • Prepare and distribute regular performance reports and dashboards.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and communicate recommendations to leadership.
  • Assist in driving accountability and achievement of team goals.

 

  • Develop a strong understanding of Brady products, services, and value propositions.
  • Communicate how Brady solutions help customers improve workplace safety, productivity, and compliance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and customer challenges.
  • Support ongoing product and industry knowledge development across the team.

 

  • Professionally address questions and initial objections.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and persistence when facing rejection.
  • Use consultative communication techniques to keep prospects engaged.
  • Coach team members on effective objection-handling and customer engagement strategies.
