Role purpose:
Supports the Arts & Culture programme team in the implementation of Arts & Culture programmes and contracts in compliance with British Council policies and procedures including financial administration, reporting and data collection, evaluation, operational project delivery and managing relations with delivery partners.
Role Accountabilities:
This role is responsible for providing end-to-end project and programme management support, including data management, reporting, compliance, grants administration, procurement, event coordination, and training delivery. The position ensures accurate data collection and analysis, maintains records in line with organisational requirements, supports due diligence processes, and contributes to the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within programmes.
The role also focuses on building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring that services are delivered as agreed and performance standards are met. It involves coordinating with various stakeholders to support successful programme delivery while ensuring accountability and compliance with organisational policies.
From a financial management perspective, the position is responsible for monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditure, supporting financial forecasting, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely vendor payments in accordance with SAP Finance and British Council guidelines. Compliance with internal financial controls and external funder requirements is a key responsibility.
The role requires the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet project deadlines. Role specific knowledge and experience
Essentials
* Bachelor’s degree is required.
* Proven experience in Arts related area.
Desirables
* Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or contracts.
* Administrative and financial administration and reporting experience.
* Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how they are central to good project management.
* Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders
