Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. Lead the coordination of transportation and delivery services to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of humanitarian aid. Manage inventory levels and warehouse facilities to optimize storage space and minimize inventory holding costs. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to facilitate efficient supply chain management. Provide leadership and guidance to logistics and supply chain teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics and supply chain activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline logistics processes and enhance operational efficiency. Prepare and present regular reports and updates on logistics and supply chain activities to senior management and stakeholders. Requirements Core Competencies: Strategic Planning Leadership and Management Problem Solving and Decision-Making Communication and Collaboration Adaptability and Resilience Technical Competencies: Supply Chain Management Procurement and Contract Management Inventory Control and Management Transportation and Distribution Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Risk Management and Compliance Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the humanitarian sector. Proven track record of successfully leading logistics and supply chain operations in complex and challenging environments. Strong understanding of international procurement regulations, logistics protocols, and supply chain best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ERP systems and MS Office Suite. Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus. Willingness to travel and work in remote or unstable locations, if required.
