Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepares and serves nutritionally balanced meals twice per day for consumers and team member, following health and safety regulations.
- →Prepares and supplies food to remote sites for consumers and team member, following safety and health regulations.
- →Monitors food portions.
- →Follows recipe cards to prepare meals, increasing or decreasing quantities as necessary.
- →Prepares special menus based on consumer medical needs as directed by Kitchen Supervisor.
- →Prepares food for special company events as directed by Kitchen Supervisor.
- →Cleans kitchen as necessary during the work day.
- →Works with consumers in a rehabilitative mode in the absence of Kitchen Supervisor.
- →Participates in team member meetings, individual supervision and assigned committees, as required.
- →Participates in at least 24 hours of continuing education on an annual basis.
- →Maintains ethical and competent consumer and peer relationships in the delivery of service.
- →Complies with all applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations, and Sound policies and procedures.
- →Performs all job duties in accordance with OSHA and company-designated safety and health regulations.
- →Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One year of food service experience (to include cooking) in an institutional setting preferred.
- Must be able to obtain Food Handler’s permit within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must successfully pass criminal background checks.
The individual will be required to work in a kitchen and dining room, serving food and cleaning as needed. The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals with disabilities to perform essential position functions.
