Commercial Manager – Mining and Petroleum Our client, a prominent player in the Mining and Petroleum industry, is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team in Zambia. This senior role will focus on driving commercial success, optimizing business performance, and fostering growth in a dynamic and competitive market. Basic Duties: Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability. Oversee contract negotiations, supplier agreements, and pricing structures. Identify new business opportunities within the Mining and Petroleum sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners. Manage commercial risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Collaborate with operational teams to streamline processes and optimize efficiency. Provide insights and reporting on commercial performance to senior management. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for commercial projects. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Mining, or Petroleum Management (MBA is advantageous). Minimum 8-10 years of commercial experience, with proven success in the Mining and Petroleum sectors. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts and supplier relationships. Excellent understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and commercial risk management. Knowledge of Zambian industry regulations and experience in African markets is preferred. Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and travel when required.
