Job description:

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and supervise the landscape consulting team: consultants, designers, estimators, administrative support.
  • Hold weekly team meetings: pipeline review, project status, client feedback, key metrics.
  • Drive training & development of team to elevate design quality, sales performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure consultants adhere to established client-engagement standards; review/approve design proposals and estimates before presentation.
  • Resolve escalated client concerns; ensure a premium client experience from first consult through hand-off to build/maintenance.
  • Oversee lead intake, assignment, follow-up; ensure CRM usage and data accuracy; collaborate with Marketing to align lead generation with consultant capacity.
  • Ensure the design concepts meet brand standards, client expectations, and that estimates are accurate and profitable; coordinate smoothly with construction/maintenance for project transitions.
  • Manage scheduling, documentation, proposal formatting, contracts, onboarding for new clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Business Management or related (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years in landscape design, consulting or sales in high-end residential market
  • Minimum 2 years in leadership/management role overseeing cross-functional teams
  • Technical skills: Proficient in landscape design software (AutoCAD, Realtime Landscape Architect or similar); strong estimating and cost-analysis skills; CRM and project-management software (e.g., Aspire or comparable)
  • Leadership competencies: Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams; strong communicator; adept at conflict resolution; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
  • Other: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to work flexible hours (occasional evenings/weekends for client meetings)
