Purpose

The Financial Accountant role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial support across core accounting functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, initiative in resolving issues, and a continuous focus on improving processes and efficiencies.

 

 

 

Day to day you’ll… 

  • Process payments to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations
  • Complete fixed asset reconciliations
  • Manage banking and treasury activities, including ad hoc invoice payments
  • Track and process internal financial transactions
  • Prepare and reconcile expense claims and gift card processing
  • Assist with monthly reporting including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet preparation
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end clean-up
  • Assist with audit workpapers and respond to audit queries
  • Support stakeholders with financial queries and reporting needs
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies
  • Assist with system implementations and finance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies

 

 

 

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related field
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar (completed or in progress)
  • CPA or CA qualification highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong time management and ability to perform under pressure
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong business awareness
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
