Purpose
The Financial Accountant role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial support across core accounting functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, initiative in resolving issues, and a continuous focus on improving processes and efficiencies.
Day to day you’ll…
- Process payments to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Complete fixed asset reconciliations
- Manage banking and treasury activities, including ad hoc invoice payments
- Track and process internal financial transactions
- Prepare and reconcile expense claims and gift card processing
- Assist with monthly reporting including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet preparation
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end clean-up
- Assist with audit workpapers and respond to audit queries
- Support stakeholders with financial queries and reporting needs
- Identify and contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Assist with system implementations and finance improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related field
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar (completed or in progress)
- CPA or CA qualification highly desirable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong time management and ability to perform under pressure
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Customer-focused mindset with strong business awareness
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
