In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in employee recruitment, engagement initiatives, workplace events, and HR operations that positively impact employees across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic people initiatives with hands-on coordination and employee interaction.
Position Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist/Employee Engagement Specialist independently provides a broad range of human resource services in the areas of:
Employee recruitment and selection
Employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture programs
Planning and coordinating employee events and recognition activities
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) management
Policy and procedure development
Organizational initiatives and special projects
This role is designed to enhance the overall employee experience at GHC-SCW while supporting organizational goals and fostering a positive, connected workplace culture.
The HR Generalist performs under the general direction, guidance, and supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer with additional accountability to the HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead employee engagement programs, wellness activities, appreciation events, and culture-building initiatives
Plan and execute employee events, celebrations, recognition programs, and team-building activities
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires
Maintain and manage HRIS records and employee data with accuracy and confidentiality
Assist with development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Partner with leadership to support organizational initiatives and employee communication efforts
Promote a positive employee experience through responsive HR support and relationship building
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources
What We’re Looking For
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a human resource management, business, healthcare administration or similar environment.
Passion for employee engagement, workplace culture, and event coordination
Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail
Experience in human resources, recruiting, employee relations, or organizational development preferred
HRIS experience and proficiency with technology systems preferred
Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment
