The Core Specialist plays a critical role in customer operations by coordinating the return and logistics of products requiring remanufacturing. This position is responsible for managing outbound customer communication, overseeing shipping documentation, resolving service issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from start to finish.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to customers via phone and email to coordinate product returns and pickups
  • Manage and process shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading) with high accuracy
  • Maintain and update customer records in internal systems
  • Identify and resolve customer issues efficiently; escalate when necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and performance metrics
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive, high-performing work environment
  • Ensure consistent follow-through on all customer interactions and commitments

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and handle customer objections professionally
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
  • Comfortable navigating web-based platforms and communication tools
  • Experience using calling platforms and internal communication systems is advantageous
