To lead and grow the Gaseous Fuels (LPG) business by driving profitable sales, revenue, and market share growth; expanding LPG plant operations, storage, and distribution infrastructure; and developing a high-performing team. The role oversees end-to-end business development, from strategy and investment evaluation to execution, while ensuring operational excellence, HSE and OGRA compliance, innovation, and achievement of profitability objectives.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop and execute departmental strategies, business plans, and action plans to achieve LPG business growth, profitability, and operational objectives.
- →Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and investment prospects to drive sustainable growth.
- →Lead LPG/CNG procurement, storage, distribution, and sales operations in line with approved policies, SOPs, HSE standards, and regulatory requirements.
- →Ensure effective delegation and performance management to achieve departmental goals and business targets.
- →Build and maintain strategic relationships with producers, importers, distributors, dealers, transporters, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders.
- →Ensure compliance with OGRA regulations, government requirements, and company policies for safe and efficient operations.
- →Drive process improvements, technology adoption, and innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- →Manage departmental budgets effectively to optimize profitability and productivity.
- →Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition within the LPG/energy sector.
- End-to-end business development experience, from strategy formulation to execution and delivery.
- Strong operational expertise in LPG plant operations, including storage, handling, filling, and distribution.
- Experience managing tanker operations, fleet coordination, scheduling, and HSE compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance business performance through channel development and process optimization.
- Strong capability in system innovation and process re-engineering to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Sound knowledge of LPG operations and energy supply chain management.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including fuel computation and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure work environment while managing competing priorities.
- Master's degree (minimum 16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized or reputable foreign university in Supply Chain, Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including 5–7 years in a leadership role at the same level (or one level below), preferably with a leading national or multinational organization.
- Proven experience in the LPG, gaseous fuels, or broader energy sector, with sound exposure to its regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Track record of operating within a large conglomerate or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder organization.
- Demonstrated success in end-to-end business development — from opportunity identification through deal closure and delivery.
- Consistent record of driving sales performance and sustainable revenue growth.
- Strong stakeholder management across internal leadership, business partners, and external counterparts.
- Demonstrated drive for innovation, process improvement, and systems enhancement
