POSITION DUTIES

This position is responsible for providing direct\r\nassistance and customer service to internal and external clients at the MD\r\nPolice and Correctional Training Commissions’ Public Safety Education and\r\nTraining Center (PSETC). This position functions as a general Guest Services\r\nSpecialist and has the responsibility of assisting the Guest Services Unit and other\r\noperational units with day-to-day support functions. Primary functions will be\r\nmanaged within the Guest Services Unit by performing reception desk functions,\r\nconducting security screening of visitors, preparing weekly activity schedules,\r\ngenerating work orders, conducting facility inspections and inventory and\r\nplanning for upcoming special event needs through preparation of work orders\r\nand coordination of logistics between units.\r\n�\r\nPosition\r\nDuties:\r\n\r\n Provides face-to-face customer\r\n service to all guests and staff at the PSETC.\r\n Performs daily receptionist\r\n duties, responding to inquiries made in-person and via telephone or email.\r\n Provides administrative\r\n support to the Guest Services Administrator, including review of reservation�requests for new guests and\r\n preparation of billing statements.\r\n Orders office and janitorial\r\n supplies to maintain operational inventory for the front desk, work rooms and�other units as necessary.\r\n Inspects classrooms and\r\n residence hall rooms for occupancy\r\n Updates residence hall\r\n notebooks and other related informational documents for overnight guests.\r\n Produce PSETC signs and\r\n facility directions for distribution.\r\n Print and assemble a large\r\n volume of manuals and materials for training units.\r\n Assist with administrative\r\n functions related to overnight guest stay, including ordering supplies,\r\n printing�labels and guest\r\n information, preparation of check-in packets.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered.�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n1.\r\nTwo years of professional experience providing face-to-face customer service as\r\nthe first point of contact with a business in the fields of hospitality,\r\neducation or government operations.\r\n\r\n\r\n2.\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and computer processing,\r\nincluding the use of Google and Microsoft Office Suite.\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n Experience\r\n with conducting physical inventory and ordering supplies\r\n \r\n \r\n Experience\r\n printing and using print shop equipment, and the assembly of detailed manuals,\r\n programs or various hard copy training materials.\r\n \r\n Experience\r\n with Nitevision software or similar property management housing software\r\n\r\n\r\n

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

\r\nThe ideal\r\ncandidate must be fluent in spoken and written English. The ideal candidate\r\nmust effectively and respectfully communicate with diverse populations,\r\nproviding services to individuals with different beliefs, behaviors, and\r\ninterpersonal styles in confinement or community settings. Professional working\r\nfluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, or any other language is a plus.\r\n\r\n
