By law, the Department of Juvenile Services is a child-serving agency\r\nresponsible for assessing the individual needs of referred youth and providing\r\nintake, detention, probation, commitment, and after-care services.\r\n\r\n

We are seeking passionate individuals for the role of the Administrator IV (Multimedia Storyteller), so come join our team and make a meaningful impact on youth and the community at DJS!�\r\n\r\n\r\nThe primary purpose of this position will be to lead content planning and execution for multimedia, including video and photography creation that connects the mission of DJS to target audiences through strategic messaging campaigns and engaging storytelling.�\r\n\r\n\r\nSome key responsibilities of this position may include, but not be limited, to the following:�\r\n● Manage, plan, and develop all digital production.�\r\n● Draft compelling stories that advance the mission of the agency through scriptwriting, social media narratives, and blogs.�\r\n● Create and edit graphics through editing software (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.)�\r\n● Research and compile data to support DJS branding and strategic messaging tactics for storytelling.\r\nThis position is eligible to work a hybrid telework schedule.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

\r\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in\r\ncommunication or journalism from an accredited college or university.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience: Three (3) years of experience\r\nin communications, journalism, or content creation focused on storytelling\r\nthrough digital, visual, audio, social media, or other multimedia platforms.�\r\n\r\n\r\nNote: Candidates may substitute an additional 4 years of the required\r\nexperience in place of the bachelor's degree to qualify.\r\n \r\n\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\r\nThe\r\nideal candidate will possess the following:\r\n● Demonstrated\r\nexperience managing an organization's social media profiles�\r\n● Advanced\r\nexperience with digital photography and video editing equipment and editing\r\nsoftware�\r\n● Proven\r\nproficiency in writing�\r\n● Experience\r\nat the local, state, or federal government level\r\n\r\n\r\n
