Main Purpose of Job

First level supervisor and leader for a group of Building Construction Engineers (Construction Managers or CM’s). Responsible for on time completion and quality construction for assigned construction projects within the assigned region. Provides assistance to the Regional Manager to complete assigned tasks. Serves as Acting Regional Manager in Manager’s absence and as backup to Construction Managers during their absences.\r\nIs responsible for the assurance that the Construction Managers are overseeing assigned projects ensuring quality, timeliness. Ensures that all required work assignments are completed and provides an accurate representation of the projects progress. Is first in review and comments related to change orders and required documentation to comply with contract requirements.\r\n

POSITION DUTIES

\r\nDuties for this\r\nposition include but�are not limited to:\r\n\r\n� Act as Regional\r\nManager in their absence; provide direction and make time-sensitive decisions.\r\nServe as backup for Construction Managers as needed.\r\n\r\n� Ensure all\r\ninspection activities are completed per standards; perform inspections on\r\nassigned projects.\r\n\r\n� Maintain accurate\r\nand complete project documentation, including files, change orders, balance\r\nsheets, and correspondence. Oversee personnel actions such as timesheets and\r\nleave approvals.\r\n\r\n� Coordinate and\r\nlead project meetings (preconstruction, progress, closeout). Review and approve\r\nschedules, change orders, invoices, and performance evaluations. Ensure\r\ncontract compliance and submit required reports.\r\n\r\n� Oversee all\r\nproject phases (pre-construction, active, and closeout). Resolve complex\r\nissues, ensure work meets specifications, manage site access, and coordinate\r\ninspections. Lead project closeout, including punch list completion, final\r\npayments, and warranty follow-up.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience. \r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for five years of the required experience. \r\n4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong preference will be given to applicants who\r\npossess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and\r\nspecific information on your application regarding�all qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience\r\n approving contracts for project schedule, construction status updates, proposed\r\n change orders, invoices and A-E performance evaluations.�\r\n Experience\r\n reviewing project files including completion of files, ensuring all significant\r\n project-related actions are documented and maintain balance sheet.�\r\n Computer Skills – MS Word & MS Excel.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n
