Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the Deputy Bureau Director is to assist and support the Bureau Chief and LBHA Director with the jurisdictional management in the planning, oversight and monitoring of the Behavioral Health system of care in Carroll County. This position ensures that all staff are operating within the Federal and State regulations and works with County Government to provide consultation and oversight to County operated Behavioral Health programming and systems development. This position assists with and oversees the day to day\r\noperations of the Bureau of Prevention, Wellness, and Recovery.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen public health response is necessary, this position will cover other shifts. Evening/weekend availability may be needed for for meetings, community outreach/events where representation is needed from the Bureau/LBHA.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of health or human services administrative or professional experience, including three years at a supervisory or managerial level.\r\nA Master's degree from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the general experience and a Doctorate will substitute for two years of the general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Desired candidates should possess:\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience managing teams, budgets, and operations\r\n Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills\r\n Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities\r\n Experience leading cross-functional projects\r\n Knowledge of the PBHS and the role of the LBHA\r\n Strong problem-solving and analytical skills\r\n Experience with leadership roles\r\n Project management experience\r\n\r\n\r\n
