We're looking for a Vice President of Federal Business Development to lead growth strategy across Oddball's federal portfolio, building the pipeline and relationships that drive our next chapter.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own and drive a multi-year business development pipeline across federal civilian and defense agencies, with a primary focus on HHS and CMS
- →Identify, qualify, and mature opportunities from early market intelligence through capture planning, teaming alignment, and pre-proposal preparation
- →Work closely with capture leadership in an integrated BD and capture motion — you're not just handing off, you're staying in it
- →Build and maintain trusted relationships with both program offices and contracting officers across target agencies
- →Develop and maintain detailed account plans covering mission priorities, key decision-makers, acquisition pathways, and long-term opportunities
- →Collaborate with the VP of Growth, delivery teams, and technical SMEs to ensure early positioning translates into strong capture and proposal outcomes
- →Represent Oddball at industry events, conferences, and government forums to build brand recognition in key markets
- Proven federal business development experience with a track record of winning or supporting successful Full and Open pursuits across civilian and/or defense agencies
- Deep familiarity with HHS, CMS, and/or adjacent federal civilian agency markets; experience with VA or DoD is a plus
- Experience working in an integrated BD and capture model — comfortable operating across both disciplines
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and agency budget cycles
- Experience developing account plans, multi-year pipelines, and customer engagement strategies across a diverse federal portfolio
- Ability to build credible relationships with both program offices and contracting officers at all levels
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative environment and brings the same human-centered mindset to BD that Oddball brings to delivery
- Communicates clearly and openly, whether briefing leadership, engaging a government stakeholder, or aligning a cross-functional internal team
