Production Planning Officer – PNG Air

Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Department: MRO – Aircraft Maintenance PNG Air is seeking a Production Planning Officer to support the coordination and documentation of aircraft maintenance checks. The position works closely with Maintenance, CAMG Planning, Technical Services, Technical Materials and Aircraft Workshops to ensure maintenance activities are properly planned, resourced, documented and completed efficiently. Production Planning Officer - P… Key responsibilities include: Attend maintenance and planning meetings and receive maintenance work packages. Review work-pack summary sheets and identify and follow up missing task cards. Ensure outstanding hold items and MELs are captured prior to maintenance checks. Coordinate with Technical Materials to ensure required spares are available before maintenance begins. Liaise with CAMG Planning regarding additional task cards, parts, tooling and equipment requirements. Coordinate with Aircraft Workshops regarding component availability. Ensure component changes and associated maintenance documentation are correctly recorded. Monitor the progress and flow of maintenance and advise the Check Coordinator of any issues or additional requirements. Production Planning Officer - P… Requirements The ideal candidate should have: Significant technical qualifications relevant to aircraft maintenance or aviation. Experience or exposure in aircraft maintenance planning, line maintenance or hangar operations. Previous experience in a similar planning or aviation maintenance environment. Large airline experience is preferred. Sound understanding of line/hangar aircraft maintenance and planning. Aviation industry training or relevant experience in a similar work environment. Good knowledge of computerized systems used within aviation or similar technical environments. Production Planning Officer - P… Strong planning, organization and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work to deadlines and perform effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills and fluent English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Sound computer skills and the ability to learn quickly. A graduate with relevant technical knowledge or an experienced planner would be well suited to the position.
