as projects are placed in service.

The ideal candidate has done project or construction accounting in a capital-intensive

documentation, and is comfortable working directly with project managers and engineers.

  • Capital Projects: Track capital expenditures by project; maintain construction in progress (CIP) schedules and monitor budget-to-actual spend.
  • Capitalization: Determine appropriate capitalization treatment under GAAP; place assets in service and establish depreciation on completion.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register for project-related assets, including additions,
    transfers, disposals, and impairment considerations.
  • Government Programs: Own accounting and cost tracking for government-funded programs
and grants, including allowability, allocation, and documentation requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare project cost reporting and drawdown or invoicing submissions for
    sponsors and funding agencies.
  • Close: Execute project-related close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Audit and Compliance: Prepare project and grant audit schedules; support sponsor and
    single audit requirements.
  • Partnership: Work directly with project managers, engineering, and procurement to ensure project costs are captured accurately and on time.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
  • 3+ years of project, construction, or capital accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP capitalization rules for property, plant, and equipment.
  • Experience with government-funded programs, grants, or cost-reimbursable contracts strongly preferred; familiarity with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) is a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large project cost datasets.
  • Ability to work directly with non-finance project stakeholders and hold them to documentation standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary +
discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $155,000 total cash compensation plus equity

    • Healthcare: 100% Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee
