About the company
Our client is the nation's leading pre-opening restaurant news and intelligence platform, connecting their Partners to up to 12,000 new and growing restaurant operators per year. Their team of researchers and journalists spend thousands of hours each month scouring hundreds of sources—from permit filings to leasing data to insider tips—to uncover planned restaurants first. They are a community passionate about empowering the next generation of restaurateurs and entrepreneurs.
About the Role
Are you a people-first connector who thrives on building real relationships and turning conversations into meaningful outcomes? Do you love being the person operators rely on—the one who knows their timeline, understands their needs, and makes the right introduction at exactly the right moment?
We are seeking an Operator Concierge to serve as the dedicated relationship manager for restaurant and retail operators entering the Whatnow ecosystem. You'll guide operators through our Concierge workflow from their first introduction to Whatnow through discovery, event attendance, and warm Partner connections. This is a relationship-driven, outcomes-focused role where you will own the full operator journey to create real commercial value for everyone in the room.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Discovery Calls & Needs Audits: Following each new operator alert, conduct structured discovery calls to understand opening timelines, vendor decisions, and where Partner introductions would be most valuable. Identify the right moment to make a connection.
- Recruit & Confirm Event Attendance: Invite operators to local Accelerate events, manage RSVPs, and confirm attendance to create a consistent in-person engagement rhythm across your territories.
- Own Post-Event Activation: Within 48 hours of each Accelerate event, follow up with every attendee to surface new needs, deepen the relationship, and secure buy-in for Partner introductions. This is the highest-conversion moment in the workflow—own it.
- Facilitate Concierge Connections: When an operator's need aligns with a Partner's offering, facilitate a warm, curated introduction and track the outcome through to a completed meeting. You're the bridge that creates real commercial outcomes for both sides.
- Manage Quarterly Relationship Cadence: Maintain ongoing touchpoints with every operator in your pipeline covering timeline updates, expansion tracking, and new introduction opportunities to ensure no decision window is missed.
- Coordinate with Events & Partner Success: Collaborate daily with the Director of Events and Partner Success teams to align on operator pipeline, guest list optimization, and event readiness across all active territories.
- Track & Report: Maintain accurate CRM records of operator status, discovery call notes, event attendance, introduction outcomes, and pipeline conversion metrics.
- Contribute to Program Excellence: Share feedback and insights from operator conversations to continuously improve the Concierge workflow, event recruitment strategies, and Partner introduction process.
We're looking for someone with warmth, precision, and follow-through—someone who takes genuine pride in being the person operators trust and Partners rely on to surface the right opportunities.
- Relationship-First Communicator: Genuinely curious about people, skilled at building trust quickly, and comfortable navigating conversations with business owners about their timelines and needs.
- Proactive Follow-Through: Never lets a warm lead go cold. Consistently executes the post-event 48-hour activation, quarterly touchpoints, and introduction tracking that make the Concierge program deliver.
- Independent Worker: Thrives in a remote work environment with minimal supervision, consistently meeting cadence requirements and conversion goals across their territory pipeline.
- Detail-Oriented Pipeline Manager: Excellent at tracking operator status across a 7-step workflow, managing multiple territory pipelines simultaneously, and staying on top of time-sensitive follow-up cycles.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiar with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and digital communication platforms.
- Problem Solver: Quick on your feet, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
- Collaborative Team Player: Works closely with the Director of Events and Partner Success teams to keep the operator pipeline moving and ensure every introduction creates value on both sides.
- Passion-Driven: Excited about food, retail, and being part of a company that sits at the intersection of media, data, and hospitality.
