Phlebotomist Location: Unity Medical Center Schedule: Full-Time Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour About the Role The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Phlebotomist. This role is responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Key Responsibilities Collect blood and other specimens safely and accurately from patients of all ages Properly label and document specimens (name, date, time, location) Ensure timely collection of routine and STAT lab orders Obtain consent when required for procedures Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing File and deliver laboratory reports to appropriate departments Monitor and replace expired supplies across hospital departments Order and maintain phlebotomy supplies and inventory Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and compliance standards Provide excellent patient care and communication during all interactions Qualifications Current Tennessee phlebotomy certification required Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff Strong attention to detail and accuracy What We’re Looking For Compassionate and patient-focused approach Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment Strong organizational and time management skills Dependable with consistent attendance Working Conditions Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials May work in varying temperatures and environments Fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions Requires standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs) Flexibility to work varying or irregular hours as needed Why Join Unity Medical Center?
